On behalf of the Board and Co-Presidents, welcome to Ertoba / GIFT. This handbook gives members a clear understanding of their rights, responsibilities, and the principles that guide our work. Together, we are building a stronger, more united Georgian community abroad — rooted in heritage, inspired by values, and engaged in service to one another.
Getting Started: Checklist for New Members

Acknowledge the Code of Conduct: All members must read and agree to abide by the Code of Conduct.

Mission and Vision
Mission: Ertoba / GIFT exists to strengthen and uplift the Georgian diaspora and its allies through cultural, educational, and humanitarian engagement. We strive for justice and peace among all people, respect the dignity of every human being, and uphold equality and inclusion.
Vision: We envision a united Georgian community abroad that is strong, confident, and thriving — celebrating heritage while embracing diversity and inclusion.
Who Can Be a Member?
Membership is open to individuals who support our mission and values and agree to participate in our activities and democratic processes.
Rights of Voting Members

Vote in annual and special meetings

Elect or remove board members

Propose initiatives, questions, or concerns to the Board
Responsibilities of Members

Uphold Ertoba’s values in all public and internal settings

Pay membership dues on time

Participate in at least one member meeting or program per year

At least one Annual Membership Meeting is held each year

Notice is provided in advance, and quorum is required for official business
Removal and Reinstatement
Membership may be suspended or revoked for violating the Code of Conduct or failing to meet obligations. Members have the right to request a review or appeal.
Communications
We communicate primarily through email, website announcements, social media, and in-person/online meetings.
