Fall of the City of Sokhumi – Memorial EventSeptember 27 marks the anniversary of the fall of Sokhumi in 1993 — a day of deep sorrow for the Georgian people and a turning point in the history of Abkhazia.
Join us for a time of remembrance, reflection, and solidarity with those who lost their lives and those who were forcibly displaced during and after the conflict.
We gather to honor the victims, support survivors, and preserve the memory of this tragic chapter so that it is never forgotten.
This memorial event will include prayers, readings, and community reflections. All are welcome to attend.
