Georgian International Foundation for Transformation (Ertoba) Receives 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Status from the IRS
New York, NY – The Georgian International Foundation for Transformation, Inc. (DBA ERToba) is proud to announce that the Internal Revenue Service has officially granted the organization federal tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, effective August 25, 2025.
This designation recognizes Ertoba as a public charity, making all donations to the organization tax-deductible under IRS regulations. With this milestone, ERToba can expand its mission of cultural preservation, community empowerment, and transformation among Georgian and immigrant communities in New York and beyond.
“Receiving 501(c)(3) status is a major step forward for Ertoba,” said the Board of Directors. “It means our community can trust that every contribution is not only impactful but also fully tax-deductible. This recognition allows us to grow our programs, build partnerships, and strengthen the cultural and social fabric of our community.”
Ertoba was incorporated in New York in 2025 with the goal of providing education, cultural programming, civic resources, and advocacy for Georgians and immigrant populations. The foundation’s projects include building a Georgian-language library, hosting cultural festivals and concerts, offering educational workshops, and supporting immigrant integration.
As a public charity under Section 509(a)(2), Ertoba will rely on broad community support, including contributions from individuals, foundations, and businesses. The foundation is now eligible to apply for a wide range of grants and funding opportunities to sustain and expand its work.
